10. Anything you would like to say or add?!

Hi, I'm VioletI write craft, hair and beauty tutorials on DeviantArt, my Blog www.VioletLeBeaux.com and my youtube channel. My tutorials are generally cute and girly.
2. Judging by your blog and your deviantART account you are obviously into tutorials and making tutorials. How did it start for you? How did you realize that tutorials are something that you love?
I have been writing tutorials and instructions for almost as long as I have been blogging. I have always gotten a lot of questions about my style so it started as a way to not have to repeat answers so often. People seemed to find them useful so I just kept going!
3. What for you is the most important part of the tutorial? Is it the end result, tutorial look or for example the overall feel to it?
I think they are all equally important. I prefer to have my tutorials very stylised but there's really no point making them if the style overtakes the readability!
4. You represent yourself on many different websites like your blog, deviantART, youtube, facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc. How do you have time for it?
It takes a lot of preplanning and commitment to keep everything running smoothly! I plan everything in advance and generally I shoot tutorials several at a time. I have days where I will shoot as many as I possibly can then edit them afterwards. I try not to double up on content between each network so it does require a lot of planning!
5. Possibly many new users would want to know how did you gain your popularity here so fast? Did many of your blog followers follow you here or did you have to start from scratch?
I have actually been on DeviantArt since around 2005ish under a different username just posting art. I started this account more recently as an extension of my blog and as most of my blog readers don't have DA accounts it was basically starting from scratch. I was lucky enough to be featured by a few people who enjoyed my tutorials and after a little while (and a lot of hard work) I made the front page. It took a lot of time and work but I have always loved being on DA and the community here so it's worth it!
6. Who do you look up to and who are your main influences?
I think I have a fairly diverse set of role models and tastes. I don't have any specific style influences but I really look up to people who are intelligent and strong while maintaining an individual sense of style. I particularly love Kirsty Alsop and her craft shows at the moment.
7. You obviously have a quite unique look. Do people often compliment for example your hair or clothes when you are just walking along?
Yes it does happen quite a bit with both readers and complete strangers and I'm always very flattered! I love meeting new people and also giving compliments when I see someone looking nice, it's amazing how a little compliment can completely lift up your day!
8. Your profile says that you like video games. What are your favorite games or a game series?
I grew up obsessed with my Gameboy and N64! My favorite series is definitely Legend of Zelda though I preferred it on Gameboy. When I met my partner we merged my love of Nintendo with his love of Playstation and I played a lot of the God of War and Assassins Creed series. Recently I've been replaying Oracle of Seasons which has been really fun, my preference is definitely for a good plot with equal parts action and puzzle.
9. Where would you want to see yourself in future?
I'll most likely be here crafting and making fun tutorials for many years to come. I'm doing what I love so I can't ask for more than that! I am looking forward to traveling a litt more over the next few years to meet readers and new people all over the world and finding inspiration for new tutorials
10. Anything you would like to say or add?!
Thank you very much for taking the time to interview me, and as always if you have any requests just let me know!
