DeviantART is a great place to find not only art but also some awesome tutorials. It doesn't matter if you are interested in photo manipulation or writing, usually there is a tutorial for that. But at the same time there are so many great tutorials outside of deviantART and most deviantART users might never find them unless someone shows these tutorials to them. So I'm happy to introduce you a new journal series called "Tutorial Showcase" which features some awesome tutorials outside of deviantART. System is pretty simple. Every showcase journal showcases five tutorials from a specific category and this category changes with every new journal. There's no special placement, all of them are equal. So here we go!

Theme for this time is:

Photo Manipulation/Photo Effects

This photo manipulation tutorial is one of the best ones I could find just because it is very well explained and has a nice end result. It is always nice to find a good end effect tutorial but often times it is too hard to follow, not with this one. All the steps on this one are well explained and as a bonus they also have a video tutorial of it. So if you get stuck then you can just watch the video and continue from the part you got stuck.

Have you always wanted to create that flooded effect to your photo manipulation that you can see on so many Hollywood pictures? Because you can learn it from this tutorial. Just like the last one it is quite well explained and they also have a one hour long video tutorial to make it even easier for you.

:pointr: Flooded City Tutorial

-------------------------------------------

This one doesn't have the video tutorial like last ones had but to be fair then it is much easier to create this one, mainly because the main background for this image is already ready. So it is better for beginner artists or who just haven't manipulated anything before. The overall end result is quite awesome as well.

:pointr: Surreal Apocalypse Tutorial

-------------------------------------------

This is quite a long one, going on for five pages. But as it is very well explained and provided with all the setting screenshots and also resource links then it shouldn't be anything else but a bit time consuming and totally awesome. This tutorial is also good because it talks a lot about the background and getting ready for the main effect.

:pointr: Light Bulb Tutorial

-------------------------------------------

And finally a photo manipulation tutorial for a bit more experienced artists. Although this tutorial also provides you with all the resources and screenshots, at the same time it is also harder to master. Mainly because so much work and precision goes into this, taking you at least 4-5 hours to complete it. You will make everything from the beginning to end. So if you feel like all the other tutorials in this article were too easy for you then try this one.

:pointr: Tree House Tutorial

And this is for this time. I hope you liked it and if you have some ideas for next time then please be sure to let me know.

And if you feel generous enough then please donate us to make this group as super group.
